Recyclables Collection

Mpilenhle has a fleet of collection trucks and bakkies that collect recyclable materials from all customers including businesses, township and landfill site waste pickers in Newcastle, Dannhauser and Utrecht.

Mpilenhle Recycling also collects recyclable materials outside Amajuba District including nearby towns Dundee, Vryheid and Ladysmith.

On-Site Waste Management

Mpilenhle Recycling provides personnel for the collection and sorting of waste at various industrial sites at the request of customers, ensuring that Mpilenhle contributes towards the reduction of landfilling costs for our customers.

The service also includes the weighing of all recyclable materials recovered from the site, and sharing that information with customers so that they can benefit from their participation in taking care of the environment in order to benefit from environmental management scoring.

Training

As an experience business in the recovery of recyclable materials, we assist community members set-up their own co-operatives, train them on recyclable products and how to operate and manage a Buyback Centre.

Schools Recycling Programme

Mpilenhle Recycling believes that in order for the culture of recycling to spread speedily throughout communities, it is important to involve school children in recycling from an early age. The business therefore offers a service to assist schools set-up recycling centres within the school in order for school children to bring their recyclable materials; and the school is paid for all the recyclable materials that they recover.

Clean-Up Campaigns

The business participates with various stakeholders on clean-up campaigns around the communities where our business operates. The aim is to get communities aware of the importance of taking care of the environment around them, and ensuring that waste is disposed of properly.
